Use the file requester to locate the directory where you installed GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas (the directory which contains the gtasa.exe file). If the updater recognises the gtasa.exe file as the correct version, it will begin the update process. You probably have the second edition of san andreas. A downgrade patch was created for this edition that will allow you to mod the game. But first you will have to uninstall the game again,delete the san andreas user files in my documents,reinstall the game then download and run/install the downgrade patch and mod away.hope this helps. PLEASE HELP!!!!!I have gta sa with mods, it is downloaded, and when i play after 10-15 minutes it freezes with sound, like the radio keeps playing, but the screen is frozen, and when i try to press escape nothing happens, i have to start task manager and force close the game.
last week my mate told me about the problems with start up and the solutions such as (deleting of file in my documents) and (turning sound proformance to basic) with this good news i then went to reinstall the game, but to my horror about 30% into the install i get a (Catastrophic failure) message and cannot complete the install..
The game is the single disk DVDrom version.(good condition)
Os: windows XP prof Sp1
Prossesor: AMD Atlon xp2200+ 1.79ghz
Graphics: 5600fx 256 nvidia
Ram: 1.00gb
sound: Creative sound blaster Audigy platinun ex (24bit)

like i said before this pops up about 30% into the install, then stops the install, ive tried installing about 5 times now same problem every time.
i just wanna play.

Gta San Andreas Apk Keeps Crashing
I am having a problem with Cleo 4.3 crashing in gameplay after 5-8 minutes, getting in a car, or just wandering around my game will crash. I have mods installed but I reinstalled GTA SA from steam and downgraded it to the 1.0 US exe with no mods. I even tried the compact .exe from this website and the game still crashed and this was on a New San Andreas with only Mod Loader installed. I tried using different versions of Cleo like 4.1 but the same happens. I tried labeling certain plugins that require Cleo 3 and changing the extension to be cs3 but still crash the same on my new San Andreas and Old. I deleted all saves, Cleo Saves, and gta_set.
The mods I have used on my old San Andreas were Skin Selector, Silent's Patch, SA-Reloading, lockcardoors, Weapon Menu, regenerating health and armor mod, and others that I don't know their names. On my new San Andreas I only used Mod Loader. I also do use a texture pack but I have the Memory Fix.
My Gta San Andreas Keeps Crashing
If anyone can help me try to fix this I would really appreciate it. I have had San Andreas for the computer for a year and have not been able to get it to work with CLEO this whole time.
