The Yamaha XJ750 Maxim X was a four cylinder boxer, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1981 and 1986. It could reach a top speed of 116 mph (186 km/h). Max torque was 5.46 ft/lbs (7.4 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 88.11 HP (65.7 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine[edit]

The engine was a liquid cooled four cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 68.0mm bore x 51.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 749.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet / multidisc.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 1/-19-57h front tire and a 1/-16-67h rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. 4 piston caliper in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). drum brake in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic while the rear was equipped with a swing arm. The XJ750 Maxim X was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank.
